Dearne and District edged the battle of the Barnsley sides to book their spot in the next round of the Sheffield Senior Cup.
The game, played at Goldthorpe, was level at 2-2 at the break with Church's goals coming from Edward Newsome and Reece High.
Cyrus Rowe and Jamie Austin struck to get Dearne level.
Austin then netted the winner in the 74th minute to get Dearne into the third round.
