TWO legendary bands are joining forces this December.
Foggy Dew-o and Me and Them, two Barnsley bands from the 1960s, are uniting at The Barn, Cubley Hall, Penistone on December 2.
The show will celebrate a unique performance blending the sounds of the two bands.
Granville Danny Clarke and Lennie Wesley - the Foggy Dew-o - were Barnsley’s first TV stars to appear weekly on Scene at 6.30.
The artists filmed at Granada Studios, Manchester, with an audience of 19 million-plus, who tuned in regularly.
Later on, the duo became recording stars, with Decca records, completing over 500 TV an radio appearances.
Me and Them were Barnsley’s first internationally recognised rock band, including George Davis and Spencer K Gibbins.
They boast a hit written by the Beatles - ‘Tell Me Why’.
Danny and Spencer are the two remaining members of the groups, who have chosen to celebrate their book launches with their live performance.
Granville Danny Clarke is launching the ‘Foggy Dew-o Storybook’ and Spencer K Gibbins is promoting his second book, ‘Some Of Us Nearly Made It’.
Tickets are bookable online for £10, or on the door at £12.
Doors open at 7.30pm with the show beginning promptly at 8pm.
