BARNSLEY South MP Stephanie Peacock attended a reception at Windsor Castle held by the King and Queen.
The event – which was to mark the 80th anniversary of VJ Day – saw Ms Peacock invited in her capacity as the Minister for Ceremonials.
Stephanie said: “It was an honour to attend a special reception marking the 80th anniversary of VJ Day at Windsor Castle.
“Their Majesties the King and Queen were joined by veterans and families, paying tribute to them and remembering all those who served.
“It was a privilege to speak with veterans at the reception.”
