MOUNTAIN rescue teams have been in Barnsley searching for a local man who has been missing for more than a week.
Andrew, 43, was last seen in the Darton area on the morning of Wednesday November 19 and was reported missing two days later.
He has not been seen or heard from since and officers are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare.
On Wednesday, police were supported by mountain rescue during search efforts in Darton and specialist search teams have also been deployed.
Police are urging anyone who may know where Andrew is to get in touch.
A spokesperson said: “Andrew is believed to be in the Barnsley area and we ask that residents, particularly those in Darton, Kexborough, and Barugh Green, to check sheds, gardens and outhouses for anything that is out of the ordinary.
“We are continuing to appeal for your help as Andrew sadly remains missing.
“Andrew is described as white, 5ft 7ins tall and of a medium build with dark brown hair and stubble. He was last seen wearing a blue fleece jacket, a dark hoodie, dark jogging bottoms and black shoes.
“Have you seen Andrew?
“Do you know where he might be?
