A BARNSLEY-based construction business is asking for the support of local residents this Christmas as they aim to help a number of charities.
Family-run Nu Build have been busy collecting men’s hygiene products and long-life food items this festive period - and they’re planning to hand them over to Barnsley Foodbank and The Hygiene Bank in the coming weeks.
To amplify the impact, Nu Build has pledged to double every donation received, helping even more individuals and families in need this Christmas.
Members of the public who wish to contribute can drop donations off at the Nu Build yard on Hemingfield Road, Wombwell.
All contributions are requested by next Friday to ensure they can be sorted and delivered ahead of Christmas.
Nu Build’s Kerry Murdoch said: “We’ve worked in Barnsley and Doncaster for over 40 years and our community means everything to us.
“Christmas can be a difficult time for many people, so we wanted to do something meaningful to support those who need it most.
“We’re incredibly proud of our team and customers for getting behind this initiative.”
