MORE than 100 determined runners braved the weather at Manvers Lake as Hana’s Santa Dash and Fun Run returned.
Despite the weather, spirits were high as participants took to the course dressed as elves, reindeer, Christmas trees and even a dinosaur.
The event once again raised funds for Team Verrico, the cancer charity founded in memory of Hana Szczepkowski.
Over the years, Hana’s Santa Dash has become a much loved annual fixture in the Manvers Lake calendar, drawing families, seasoned runners, and festive first timers alike.
Manvers Waterfront Boat Club’s Mark Benton, who helped organise the event, said: “Even with the drizzle, you couldn’t wipe the smiles off people’s faces.
“The energy, colour and community spirit are what make this event so special, year after year.”
A spokesperson from Team Manvers added: “It was an incredible morning at the Santa Dash and Fun Run.
“Massive thanks to everyone for all your help.
“It was a great event despite the weather.
“There’s been some wonderful feedback and lots of funds raised for Team Verrico in memory of Hana.”
