Callum Simpson has vowed to come back stronger after losing for the first time in his professional career and is looking to activate a rematch clause with new champion Troy Williamson.

Barnsley super-middleweight Simpson was stopped in the tenth round of his British, European and Commonwealth title defence in Leeds.

Simpson said: “I thought I was winning and got caught with a good shot. That is life. A massive thank you to my fans and sorry I let them down and didn’t get the win. The best man won. I will come back. There is a rematch clause, I want the rematch and I want to bring those belts back.”
