GOALKEEPER Jackson Smith’s emergency loan to Grimsby has been extended.
The 24-year-old joined the Reds on a four-year deal, with a further option in the club’s favour, at the start of last season but has been often third choice, playing six games before picking up an injury in Conor Hourihane’s first match in charge at Mansfield Town in March.
Smith was sent out to League Two Grimsby Town for seven games last season on emergency loan.
He then joined National League side Rochdale on an emergency loan earlier this season before re-signing for Grimsby.
