Barnsley’s game at Port Vale on Sunday afternoon has been called off due to a frozen pitch.
The Reds were due to visit League One’s bottom club at 3pm but the postponement was announced at lunchtime.
Barnsley may now have up to five games in hand on some teams and will have to play their second half of the season in less than 100 days.
Their next league game is at home to Blackpool on January 17, five days after visiting Liverpool in the FA Cup.
