Some Barnsley FC related stories coming out of the weekend.
REDS WILL GET NEW MAN ‘UP TO SPEED’
Conor Hourihane says Barnsley will work to get new signing Charlie Lennon ‘up to speed’ but intends to use him straight away.
The 19-year-old winger signed from Middlesbrough after an impressive loan spell with Darlington in the National League North.
The Reds are low on options on the wing with Reyes Cleary their only natural fit winger before Lennon’s arrival.
Head coach Hourihane told the Chronicle: “Charlie will go straight into the first team squad and be ready. He needs to get up to speed and we need to develop him like Reyes when he came in pre-season. He will be a body that no doubt will be used. He needs to get to know how we want to play and work this week with it being a free week.”
