PROMOTION-CHASING Barnsley Town got an important win this week and now face the current County Senior Division One leaders twice in two games.
They triumphed 3-0 at home to Dinnington Town reserves on Saturday, a fourth win in five games after losing to third-placed Thorncliffe Villa last week.
Connor Asquith, Danny Taylor and Sam Metcalfe got the goals.
Town are second, four points behind the leaders Eccleshill Red Rose, having played 16 of their 24 games.
The top two are due to play on Saturday at Eccleshill’s ground at The Sheffield College then a week later at Athersley Rec’s Sheerien Park where Town play their home games.
Royston won 2-0 at Sheffield City.
Dodworth MW lost 4-1 at home to Hepworth United in the Premier Division.
Dearne and District reserves won 7-0 at Middlewood Rovers in Division Two.
North Gawber reserves were 6-0 winners at Youdan.
Wombwell Main reserves lost 4-2 at Denaby Main reserves. They remain second, a point off top.
