BARNSLEY’S own YouTube sensation Danny Malin made a surprise appearance at the Brit Awards last weekend.
Danny was described by host Jack Whitehall as a ‘cult icon’ thanks to his famous food reviews where he sets up his own camping table and chair outside of a restaurant or takeaway.
He went viral on social media during the pandemic while working for a butchers before becoming the face of Rate My Takeaway, which he quit last autumn.
Now running Danny vs Food, he said: “I was over the moon to be asked to set up my table and chair at the Brits and dine with the stars. ( “It’s hard to believe that food reviewing online could bring me so many opportunities.
“These past couple of years have been challenging having had suffered two strokes and mental health problems as well as deciding to leave Rate My Takeaway. ( “But knowing that Danny vs Food is now doing amazing and all independently run by me. ( “Then being invited to appear live at the Brits was just incredible and a real ‘pinch me’ moment.”(
