BARNSLEY’S Imogen Wolff has been in Belgium this week as her second season as a professional cyclist gets into full swing.
The Silkstone woman, who will turn 20 later this month, is competing with top team Visma Lease-a-Bike.
She finished 27th at the Omloop Nieuwsblad in Belgium which is seen as the traditional curtain-raiser of the European road cycling season.
She then finished 24th overall, and first Brit, in the Omloop van het Hageland the following day.
Imogen had competed in a three-day event in Spain earlier in February.
She had also represented Great Britain’s track team in the European Championships in Konya, Turkey.
She finished tenth in the ‘scratch’ race, having led earlier in the event, and 19th in the endurance race.
Meanwhile, Barnsley’s other professional, Jenson Young from Hemingfield, finished 25th at the Castellon Gravel Race in Spain.
