Wombwell's rising boxing talent Jake Jon Cleary picked up another win on Friday night.
Cleary, 28, won all six rounds of his contest with Mancunian Luke Thomas at the Metrodome.
The welterweight built on his confidence-boosting triumph over the previously unbeaten Ellis Ward back in December with another points verdict.
It was a more routine victory this time around, but still well-earned over six rounds.
Cleary set the pace from the off and landed with a variety of punches – much to the delight of cornermen Jamie Kennedy and Amer Khan.
He upped the pressure in the latter stages and became more hurtful with his combinations as the fight wore on.
The bout was refereed by trialist Andy Kremner and scored 60-54 in Cleary's favour bt the ringside scoring judge, Howard Foster.
Cleary thanked his manager and the show's promoter Josh Wale for keeping the show on despite a number of withdrawals that saw it reduced to three contests on the night.
The other two bouts on the show both went the way of the home fighters.
Doncaster's Billy Jarmolinski opened up with a 40-36 win against Klaudia Ferenczi from Slovakia.
Fellow Donny scrapper, heavyweight Joshua Simms had it much tougher against the grizzly Kazakh Viktar Chvarkou and suffered a cut in the first round.
He battled on to edge it 39-38 in the view of the vastly experienced Foster.
There will be full reaction from Cleary in Friday's Chronicle.
