LOCAL dance school pupils have wowed audiences at a world-famous venue.
Stagecoach Performing Arts Barnsley pupils enjoyed an unforgettable experience last weekend, as 30 young performers took to the stage at the prestigious Blackpool Tower Ballroom.
The youngsters wowed audiences with a vibrant ten minute musical theatre medley.
In order to prepare for the musical showcase, pupils took part in inspiring workshops delivered by Audition Ready.
Here, they had the opportunity to train with industry professionals, including West End performer Ryan Jenkins who performed in Grease and Cabaret.
The sessions helped the performers build both confidence and work on their craft before the taking to the spotlight themselves.
Ranging in age from seven to 16, the youngsters showed maturity and stage presence far beyond their years with their meticulously rehearsed performance.
Stagecoach Performing Arts Barnsley principal, Hannah Plummer-Walsh, shared her pride following the event.
She said: “I am incredibly proud of every single pupil who performed at Blackpool Tower Ballroom this weekend.
“The commitment and teamwork they showed throughout rehearsals and on the day itself was fantastic.
“Opportunities like this allow our pupils to experience performing in truly iconic venues while developing their confidence, discipline and love for the performing arts.”
Stagecoach Performing Arts Barnsley pupil, Ava Bee, added: “The event was incredible and inspirational.
“Events like this offer help with our discipline and confidence.
“Blackpool Tower Ballroom was iconic to perform at and something I will never forget.
“I wish I could do it all again this weekend.”
