BOROUGH of Barnsley swimmers won 28 medals at the Stocksbridge Pentaqua gala at Ponds Forge.
Francesca Matze won two golds, three silvers and two bronzes with Penny Kilner taking two golds and a bronze, Alfie Cooper two golds and a silver plus Noah Gillan with two golds. Charlie Booth also won a gold medal with silvers going to Esme Pearson, Poppy Hill, Darcy Firth, Abbie Charlesworth and Charlotte Greaves. There were bronzes for Eryk Malicki and Emily O’Keefe, with two each, Darcy Firth, Seth Stanley and Elizabeth Falkingham.
Other competitors were Holly Barnes, Alfie Barrett, Faith Benson, Madison Crisp. Sophie Cumberbatch, Ava Davis, Minnie Denton, James Ennis, Chloe Etheridge, Darcy Firth, Noah Gillan, Sophie Greaves, Izzy Grundy-McGrath, Niamh Hacking, Erin Hellewell, Rebekah Jones, Isabelle Kimpton, Ella Laws, Olivia Lawson, Maria Magoula, Eliza Malicki, Charlie McLean, Jessica McLean, Lily O’Brien, Francesca Patulea, Lacey Richardson, Fern Rooney-Davies, Eve Salkeld and Zach Woolfenden.
