A handbag designer who taught herself to sew is making her Clothes Show Live debut.

Jilly Gough, 26, set up Cottonarts in 2008 and makes all her own handbags and accessories from her studio at the back of the Junction 36 shop in Hoyland Road, Hoyland Common.

Her unusual bags were spotted by an organiser of the annual event at the NEC in Birmingham and she was invited to take part.

The fine art graduate from Hoyland has been beavering away for the last six months making hundreds of quirky bags to sell at the event next month.
