DARFIELD beat Penistone by 69 runs in the Mick Savage Trophy.

Campbell Wroe made 53 then Brooklyn Whitmill whacked 65 not out off 38 balls with six sixes in Darfield’s 236.

Nathan Kitchen, Saman Khursheed and Ashley Potter took three wickets.

Connor Smythe took three wickets for Penistone then Michael Brown made 52.

In Division Three, Darfield won by six wickets at Shiregreen 2nd XI.

Potter took three wickets then made 62 with Whitmill adding 51 not out off 37 balls.

Higham chased 171 for a one-wicket win at home to Frecheville. Brad Gledhill took five wickets then Ryan Bagshaw made 51.

Worsbrough Bridge lost by two wickets at home to Coal Aston 2nd XI. They posted 188 then Joe McLee took four wickets.

Monk Bretton removed Wickersley 2nd XI for 77 in a seven-wicket Division One win. Steven Honeyman and Dominic Fell took four wickets each.

Wath won by 90 runs at home to Frickley. Isaac Wainwright (53) and Syed Shah (55) led Wath to 257 then Shah took four wickets and Rob Barlow three.

Houghton Main were all out for 132 in a nine-wicket loss at Conisbrough.

West Bretton tied at home to Cawthorne 2nd XI. Kyle Clayton took five wickets and Alex Gough three while Cawthorne’s Niranjan Venkatakrishnan made 62.

Penistone were out for 168 in a four-wicket at Hatfield Town in Division Two.

Kexborough bowled Doncaster 3rd XI out for 71 defending 251 in Division Four. Ulaganathan Sayanthan made 57 then Matty Bowering took six for 19 and Rob Mynett three for ten.

Wombwell Main removed Thorpe Hesley and High Green 2nd XI for 93 defending 198 in Division Five. Daniel Ravenscroft scored 55 then Mark Mustill-Hope made 60 and took three wickets.

Silkstone United chased 159 for a two-wicket win at home to Warmsworth. Edward Driver took four wickets.

Dearne chased 94 for a six-wicket win over Silkstone United 2nd XI in Division Nine North.
