Barnsley's miserable form continued as they lost 2-1 to Cardiff City at Oakwell.
The Reds are now without a win in seven and haven't won at home since September 1.
The visitors scored identical goals either side of the break to go top of the table. For both goals, Barnsley 'keeper Luke Steele pulled off world class saves that led to corners and Cardiff scored through two headers.
Their first strike came on 18 minutes when teenager Lee Nugent scored his first professional goal, heading in Peter Whittingham's corner. Their second was a carbon copy as Aron Gunnarsson headed home after 51 minutes.
Barnsley pulled one back through Jacob Mellis and had two appeals for penalties turned down but it was the Bluebirds who deservedly claimed the points.
