A TRIAL involving two men who are alleged to have committed a combined 22 offences ranging from rape to false imprisonment is set to end next week.

Bawan Harwe, 28, and 21-year-old Sharam Muhamadi are alleged to have used the social networking platform, Snapchat, to contact the girls aged between 12 and 16.

The pair - from Iran and Iraq respectively - have been appearing for their trial at Sheffield Crown Court for the last three weeks.

South Yorkshire Police confirmed that the pair’s last day of defence will take place today, with the jury expected to retire on Monday.
