BARNSLEY Hospice has launched a farm fundraiser with two TV stars in a bid to raise vital funds to continue its services.

‘Farmers and Friends’ will take place at the Holiday Inn Barnsley on Saturday October 10, and attendees can enjoy an afternoon tea and hear from special guests, Cannon Hall farmers Rob and David Nicholson.

The pair have also become familiar faces as champion livestock breeders and stars of hit shows such as Springtime on the Farm, Cannon Hall: A Yorkshire Farm and The Yorkshire Vet.

All profits from the event will go towards supporting Barnsley Hospice and the specialist palliative and end of life care it provides to those living with a life-limiting illness.

Rob said: “Supporting Barnsley Hospice means the world to us.

“The care and compassion they’ve shown to so many families in our community over the last 30 years is truly humbling - and we’re honoured to help out in even a small way.

“We hope you’ll join us for a wonderful afternoon - great food and even better company.”

Events fundraiser at the hospice Julia Radwell added: “We are over the moon to have Rob and David joining us for the event and helping to support our care.

“Cannon Hall Farm is such an iconic part of Barnsley, and together we’ll be able to make a real difference to local families when they need it most.

“The brothers are truly at the heart of the farm, and we can’t wait for them to share more about their upbringing, family history and what day to day life looks like on the farm.”

More information on how to book tickets can be found on the hospice’s website.
