CANNON Hall is hosting an exhibition of textiles from Pakistan.

The display, titled The Draped and the Shaped, showcases a variety of colourful fabrics and historic and contemporary clothing designs.

It is part of a year-long regional programme of events exploring different aspects of Muslim cultures and heritage.

Two events have been planned to coincide with the exhibition, starting with a costume workshop on Sunday October 29.

Children can print designs on their own T-shirts and make fabric creations with the help of Cannon Hall’s resident artist. The workshop, running from 1pm to 2.30pm, costs £2 per child and must be booked in advance.

On Tuesday November 21, there will be a talk about the exhibition by Nilesh Mistry from Cartwright Hall Art Gallery in Bradford. The evening starts at 7pm and costs £4.

The exhibition runs from Saturday until Sunday December 17.
