BARNSLEY Tennis Club player Kevin Folger has been selected to represent Yorkshire in the LTA Seniors County Cup this year.
Kevin was selected to represent Great Britain 30 years ago then spent a number of years away from playing tennis before starting again last year.
He said: “It is an honour to be selected to play for my county of Yorkshire.
“It feels somewhat of a great achievement having only started playing again just over 12 months ago after years away from playing.
“I do still have quite a way to go to get back to where I want to be.
“We have a great bunch of players at Barnsley Tennis Club who have contributed to the club’s success in local leagues.
“Barnsley Tennis Club is a great club with such lovely and friendly members.
“They also have a tennis coaching programme at the club for players of all abilities.”
