A brace from captain McCauley Shillito and a late Omari Alexander-Salmon strike gave Barnsley under 18s beat Oxford United 3-1 to put them one game away from a possible fifth round trip to Chelsea.
George Maris gave away a penalty in the 25th minute and impressive visiting striker James Roberts converted it. But Maris made the equaliser when his shot was saved into the path of Shillito who levelled just before the break.
Kexborough midfielder Shillito made it 2-1 on 70 minutes after fine work from left-back George Smith. Maris then made a fine run on the left and crossed for Omari to volley in.
The young Reds will host Stevenage Borough in the next round in a fixture that is expected to be next week. The winner will face the winner of Chartlon Athletic against Chelsea on Wednesday night.
