Little Mikka Walmsley is making the most of the summer by trying out her new wheels.
Mikka, five, from Royd Avenue, Cudworth had a stroke aged three and needs to use a wheelchair as she cannot walk.
But she can now enjoy the sunshine with a tailor-made tricycle she operates with her hands.
Thanks to fundraising efforts and local businesses in Cudworth and the surrounding areas, more than £16,000 has been raised to buy the trike and other specialist equipment.
An auction was held in April last year raising £13,000 with the help of The Star Pub, Infinity jewellers and Four Season greengrocers in Cudworth.
Mum Rachel, 28 said they are really grateful for the support and a they have also bought a disabled swing for Mikka which has been put up in the back garden.
"It's bliss to be able to take her out, even pushing her she likes it," she said.
