A 13-year-old who set up her own business making hampers has been nominated for a Proud of Barnsley award.

Chloe Booth Dobson was put forward for the award by her mum Cheryl Booth-Dobson, grandma Linda Dobson and guide leader Sally Warren.

Chloe, of Queensway, Hoyland, started the business 'Hearty Hampers' to produce hampers of all shapes and sizes for children and special occasions like Father's Day, Mother's Day and birthdays.

Her guide leader Sally said: "Chloe is an exceptional bright and pleasant young lady. The hampers are professionally made and wrapped with a bow to set it all off. Nothing is too much trouble and she can cater for most requests."

Chloe's nan Linda said: "Chloe had a chance of setting up a business with her school (Kirk Balk) for a local challenge called I Know I Can Barnsley and even before the very first stages she had made items for customers and delivered hampers and made a profit.

The ideas she has are endless. She produces personalised items at people's request and her business is going from strength to strength. She is amazing."
