THE United Villages Partnership has been given £2,000 to replace benches on a Darton field.
Vandals had ruined the old benches on Longfields so the partnership applied for a grant from the Community Green Space Fund to buy new ones.
The partnership will use Longfields for its autumn celebration next weekend. All villagers are invited to take part in activities including craft sessions, bulb planting and tradional games.
The fun starts at 1pm on Sunday, entrance is free.
