Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd will turn on the Christmas lights at the Alhambra Centre later this month.
Jack, who plays rogue David Platt, will turn on the shopping centre lights on November 20.
Jack announced last month that he was heading to Barnsley on Twitter, but then mysteriously removed the post.
But it has now been confirmed that he will switch on the lights at 5pm.
