BUDDING young cricketer Camilla Westwood looks set to follow in the illustrious footsteps of her uncle and cousin who have both played for England.
The 12-year-old, from Green Road in Dodworth, has been picked to play for Yorkshire Women’s Cricket Club at under 13 level, as well as for South Yorkshire in the under 13 and under 15 age groups.
She also plays football at the Barnsley girls’ centre of excellence at Oakwell, but cricket is where her relatives Arnie and Ryan Sidebottom have made an impact.
Both played for Yorkshire and have one cap each for England, with Ryan now plying his trade for county champions Nottinghamshire.
Camilla, an all rounder, also plays cricket for Dodworth under 13s.
