A TEENAGE guitarist has organised a three band extravaganza for his group's first ever gig.

Wannabe music promoter Keiran Fox, 15, will stage the event at the Welcome Inn tonight. His punk three piece Legally Friday will headline with support from Midlife Kyrisis and fellow teens Boytrap.

He decided to put the gig on because there was nowhere in the district for young bands to play. Half of all proceeds will go to Cancer Research

Keiran of Foundation Street, Elsecar, said: “I'm looking forward to it, we’re all a bit nervous but we'll be all right. We just want to get a lot of friends to come and support us and raise money for a good cause.”

The bands will play a mixture of original material and cover versions. Punters can expect to hear Blink 182 and Greenday songs.

CDs will be available at the gig which begins at 8pm. Entry £3.
