HOYLAND woman Tracey Steel suffers from animal allergies - but that didn't stop her Cairn terrier Charlie from picking up a prize at the world's most famous dog show.
The 13-month-old pooch took third prize in the puppy dog class for his breed at Crufts at Birmingham NEC.
Owner Tracey, 41, who is allergic of short-haired dogs and cats, had to be tested before she got Charlie so she knew the breed would not set off her allergy.
She said Charlie was such a hit in Hoyland that he is now official mascot for the town's Beggar and Gentleman pub. He can sometimes be seen propping up the bar, perched on a bar stool.
