STUDENT Louise Lofthouse gets to grip with a dragon puppet which will be used in a Barnsley College performance.
Louise and colleagues on the technical performing arts course have been working for 13 weeks preparing props, puppets and effects for the show.
The dragon, crafted from wire, tissue paper, sponge and split peas has taken hours to make. But Louise said it would be worth it when the puppet is in action.
"We're in college all the time, we are her until eight virtually every night but I love it to bits.
"The whole practical side, being able to things and then see it being used. You think to yourself, 'I made that', it's fulfilling when you know things are going to come together."
The show, based on an unfinished Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem, Kubla Khan, will be performed in the college's Electric Light Theatre on December 21.
