SPOOKY noises and scary goings on have not gone away at a pub which is said to be haunted in Low Valley, Wombwell.
Taps have been turned off in the cellar, doors have opened in empty rooms and bottles have moved around by themselves in the middle of the night.
Landlord of the Low Valley Arms, Roger Froggatt, said:“It does not bother me anymore – I just take it all for granted.
A few weeks ago his wife, Kathryn, phoned the police after Roger said he had seen a woman in white with half a face.
He had gone down stairs to deal with what he thought was a burglar at about 1.30am on a Tuesday. Three large television screens had been switched on and the burglar alarm had been activated. He then went into the ladies’ toilets where he saw the strange figure.
On arrival, the police discovered the toilets were flushing themselves and the following day officers issued a press statement about the incident.
Mr Froggatt said:”I know what I saw and I know there is something here.”
