BARNSLEY East MP Michael Dugher has given his backing to Barnsley's Mental Health Week which will see a number of events being held throughout the town to promote mental well-being.
The awareness week, which commences Monday, is being held in the run up to World Mental Health Day on October 10.
The focus of the week is schizophrenia.
Mr Dugher said: "Barnsley Mental Health Week is a fantastic event which helps to promote and raise awareness of mental well-being across Barnsley.
"There are a wide range of events for people to attend and I would urge anyone interested to get involved."
