DOCUMENTS and letters from the First World War archives will be available for people to see and handle at Experience Barnsley next week.
The hands on history event has been arranged to mark the centenary of the First World War and is being run alongside the Road to War exhibition, which tells the story of the First World War through the eyes of local people.
The documents and letters will be on show next Saturday October 11 in the town hall Discovery Centre from 1pm to 3pm.
Another hands on history event will take place on November 8.
