PLANS to demolish Monk Bretton library and build 24 houses on the site have been submitted to the council.
Yorkshire Housing wants to build the affordable houses on the site and will be served by an access road which would come in via the Lamb Lane and Fleetwood Avenue junction.
The application said the new homes have been designed to so they are similar to existing houses in the surrounding area.
Two footpath links from the site onto Lamb Lane are proposed as part of the redevelopment.
