FAMILIES from hell are set to be moved on to other neighbourhoods instead of being evicted.
Berneslai Homes wants to give trouble makers one last chance by taking them away from their regular haunts and friends in the hope that it stops them creating havoc.
The controversial plan is part of the Intensive Family Intervention Project, which is due to be approved by the council’s cabinet next week.
The families involved will be those who have been given ASBOs or are on the brink of losing their homes.
A report states: “The project will have significant impact as it is designed to curb the behaviour of the most chaotic members of society.
“However, extreme care will need to be taken when deciding on the location of the dispersed accommodation in the community.”
They will be put on temporary tenancy agreements which will end with eviction if anti-social behaviour does not stop within the given time.
Safer Neighbourhood Team manager Paul Brannan believes there will be greater control over problem families if they remain in council houses rather than swap to the private sector.
