Nana Boakye-Yiadom and Rhys Oates got the goals for Barnsley under 21s in a 3-3 draw at Crewe Alexandra on Monday.

After the hosts took the lead, Mike Phenix set up Nana and Oates to make it 2-1 at half-time. Crewe levelled but Nana netted his second with two minutes left only for the home team to score in injury-time and salvage a 3-3 draw.

"We created loads of chances but our defending from set-pieces let us down," said coach Paul Heckingbottom, who used overage players Phenix, George Williams and Milan Lalkovic.

The under 18s lost 1-0 at home to Huddersfield Town on Friday. After a long-range chip hit the bar, Matty Templeton failed to clear and Liam Coogans fired in.

The under 18s visit Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday from 11am while the under 21s are at Sheffield United on Monday from 1pm.
