TWO local musicians have penned a protest anthem about the town's rail cut protesters.
Lee Short, 39, of Barnsley town centre, and Adam Myers, 35, from Thurnscoe, have immortalised pensioners Tony Nuttall, 65, and George Arthur, 64, who were arrested on a platform at Sheffield railway station in June as part of the 'Freedom Riders' protest.
They were charged with obstructing police and fare evasion, although charges were later dropped.
Lee and Adam wrote 'The Ballad of Tony and George' by The Platform 2 and the song is on YouTube and for sale on Bandcamp.
