HEALTH care services are facing the chop and some are being scaled back in a bid to save £3m.

Services affected include a 'hospital at home' service which the council contributes towards and home medication checks.

Others face a reduction in funding, reviews and restructuring as the council continues to make cut backs.

Health improvement and substance misuse services will be reviewed and the council's communities department will take on responsibility for commissioning drug and alcohol services, smoking cessation, weight management and delivery of the Infant Feeding Service.
