A FAMILY are rallying together to raise money in memory of their youngest member, Jake Croft.

Jake was just four-years-old when he was diagnosed with neuroblastoma last October – a cancer that affects just 100 children each year.

On October 23, Jake had his first round of chemotherapy but the illness was too advanced and the next day he was rushed to intensive care where he tragically died.

Since then his family have vowed to raise money for The Children's Hospital Charity, to thank the hospital for all they did for Jake.

Jake's grandma, Karin McHardy, of Raymond Avenue, Grimethorpe said: "We have all been left devastated by his passing. He was such a smiley, caring boy who touched so many people.

"He was our angel, always laughing, always smiling."

Karin has been knitting items – including Frozen-themed jumpers - to sell to raise money for The Children's Hospital Charity and has donated toys and stationery to ward M3, where Jake was treated.
