A SCHOOL urged parents to be vigilant this week after a woman with a child was approached by a motorist who made a 'suggestive' comment.
Milefield Primary School, in Grimethorpe, texted parents on Tuesday following the incident, which is thought to happened at about 11.30am.
A police spokeswoman said it is reported that a driver of a black BMW made a suggestive comment to a woman walking along High Street, Grimethorpe.
It comes after concerned parents lashed out at the police's response to reports last week of attempted child abductions in Barnsley town centre.
Police sought to reassure parents saying no reports of attempted child abduction had been received but two incidents of suspicious behaviour had been looked into and no evidence of attempted child abduction had been found.
