AN ARMED police response team was sent to the interchange on Tuesday night after bogus reports about a gun-wielding man being on the loose.
Speculation was rife on social media that a man had been seen with a firearm at the station.
A police spokesman said "The man in question was found and posed no threat to the public. No firearm was found." It is believed the person who made the threat may have been under the influence of alcohol."
