THE Easter Bunny eats carrots to help him see in the dark - but even he sometimes needs to pop a pair of specs on.
He called in to Tesco Extra opticians in Barnsley to launch a children's competition, 'design a pair of glasses for Easter Bunny'.
The store has invited local schools to take part and is hosting two craft days at the Wombwell Lane shop where children can have a go at creating their designs.
The first of these is on Saturday March 28 and the second on Saturday April 4. There will be first, second and third prizes for competition winners and the closing date is April 5.
Spokeswoman Lisa Hammond said: "From April 6 we will arrange for the winner and second and third place entrants to come into store to collect their prizes."
