FORTY five homes on Airedale Road, Kexborough, are to be given a facelift to bring them up to standard.
A variety of improvements will be made with some receiving new kitchens bathrooms, windows, doors, fires, boilers, rewiring and external rendering.
Work will start on Monday March 5 and is due to be completed in July.
A ‘drop-in’ session will be held at 45 Airedale Road for householders to call in and ask questions.
Each household will be informed by Lovell of the drop-in times. The first two are on Tuesday March 6 at 2pm to 4pm and Wednesday March 7 at 9.30am to 11.30am.
John Lythe, a technical manager for Berneslai Homes, said: “The works follow the successful completion of a 4 property pilot scheme carried out in 2006 which investigated the structural condition of the houses and the best, least disruptive ways of carrying out refurbishment works."
