A TEAM of volunteers which helps town centre revellers on a night out in the town has been nominated for its 'inspiring' work.
Barnsley Street Pastors patrol the streets and help people in physical or emotional need.
They carry items including blankets, chocolate, flip-flops for women who have taken their heels off and water to dilute alcohol.
They also see people home safely and provide a uniformed presence.
The volunteers are led by co-ordinator Michael Rossiter and chairman David Munby.
