A CAMPAIGNER who has worked tirelessly with people who have alcohol, drug and mental health problems has been put forward for a Proud of Barnsley award.

Helen Boutle, 40, has worked in the mental health field for more than 20 years and has held numerous roles helping communities across the borough to provide greater care, compassion and understanding to patients.

She is one of many who helped established Creative Recovery - an organisation which uses creative, therapeutic and social activities to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health and bring people together.
