AS part of the ongoing regeneration of Barnsley town centre, highway works to improve Wellington Street will begin on Monday July 13.
The work is expected to last for approximately four months.
The improvement scheme involves road resurfacing and associated drainage works, new road markings and traffic signs, re-kerbing using high quality granite kerbs and repaving the footways with grey block paving.
Improved crossing facilities will be provided on street corners including dropped kerbs and tactile paving.
