A WOMAN starting a new upcycling business chose to launch it at the Allotment Deli cafe in Hoyland.
Sally Faulkes, 51, has set up a business ‘Threddit’ which specialises in upcycled clothing, cushions, bags, hats and other items.
Sally, who has a day job as a speech therapist, buys items from charity shops and then transforms them into new products. For example, she turned a little girl’s tin lunch box into a handbag and has merged cushions with teddy bears to create ‘cushions with a hug.’
Among her other products are a handbag which started life as a little girl’s skirt.
