A YOUTH councillor and his family are desperately fighting to stay in the UK.
The Mulhanova family, originally from Kyrgyzstan, have sought asylum since fleeing their native country three years ago.
Imabat Mulhanova, 49, of King Street, Hoyland said: “It is very dangerous in our country. We lost a lot of friends and relatives. I cry every time I think about my people.”
Now Imabat does charity work and son Tilivaldi, 16, is on the multicultural youth committee for the youth council.
